Bolivar Cofradia Oscuro Heads to Stores
The Bolivar Cofradia Oscuro, a new line extension for Forged Cigar Co.’s Bolivar line, is on its way to stores today.
The new cigar uses an aged Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra binder, and Dominican, Nicaraguan and Honduran filler, which gives it a profile described as offering a “bold and meaty smoke that juxtaposes peppery notes with hints of coffee and chocolate and delivers lingering notes of earth and spice on the finish.”
It is made at STG Danlí in Honduras and offered in three sizes:
- Bolivar Cofradia Oscuro Robusto (5 x 54) — $5.99 (Box of 25, $149.75)
- Bolivar Cofradia Oscuro Toro (6 x 54) — $7.29 (Box of 25, $182.25)
- Bolivar Cofradia Oscuro Gigante (6 x 60) — $7.89 (Box of 25, $197.25)
“Bolivar Cofradia Oscuro brings a new dimension to Bolivar by introducing a US-grown Connecticut broadleaf wrapper to the portfolio,” said Joe Krzyston, assistant brand manager for Bolivar, via a press release. “The blend is rich and rewarding and it’s priced in line with the existing Bolivar offerings, making it among the best values in any humidor. This new line is yet another reason for cigar smokers to explore this legendary brand, and we expect that the blend will be very well received.”
