If you enjoy 70 or even 80 ring gauge cigars, one of the biggest problems can be finding a cutter that can adequately handle those larger vitolas. That’s why XIKAR is launching the X875 Double Guillotine Cutter, a super sized version of the company’s X8 cutter with a 75 ring gauge opening.

XIKAR X875 Double Guillotine Cutter

It is designed to cut cigars upwards of 80 ring gauge, and the company says a 75 ring gauge cigar will actually fit through the cutter itself, allowing you to cut the cigar in half. Ring gauge is measured in 64ths of an inch, making the opening of the X875 over 1.17 inches in diameter. XIKAR will not be alone in launching big ring gauge cutters, as Credo announced it would be introducing a version of its signature Synchro cutter that can cut 70 ring gauges.

Like the X8, the contoured body allows for cigars to rest and the cutter comes apart for cleaning. The X875 features 440 stainless steel blades and is offered in black with MSRP set at $34.99, $5 more than the black X8. It will debut at the 2014 IPCPR convention and trade show, which begins July 19 in Las Vegas, Nev.
