There are some new color ways coming to XIKAR’s Xi2 cutters courtesy of artist Charlie Turano III.

The XIKAR Xi2 Nightlife Series is inspired by “the flowing lights and dynamic action of big city night life,” according to a press release and features the artist’s trademark brushstroke style. Turano, who is based in Miami, is known for his work with Fanatics Authentic, a company that specializes in sports artwork and memorabilia.

It is being offered in four colors: red, orange, blue, and green, each priced at $59.99.

The Xi2 is a double guillotine cutter that uses stainless steel blades and can cut cigars up to a 60 ring gauge. Like all XIKAR products, it is supported by the company’s limited lifetime warranty.

The new design options are being added as an ongoing production release, part of the company’s 2021 new releases, and are now shipping to retailers.

XIKAR and Turano have previously worked together on a series of humidors and cutters that were released in 2019.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
