Last year, Wildfire Cigar Co. had a bear in its PCA Convention & Trade Show booth; this year, the company will have a new line named after a bear in its booth.

The new line is called Artaios, a Celtic word that could reference a bear-god. It will use a Nicaraguan habano oscuro wrapper over an Indonesian binder and fillers from the regions of Nicaragua: Condega, Estelí and Jalapa. Production will be handled by Fábrica de Tabacos Joya de Nicaragua S.A., the same factory that made the company’s first two releases.

It will be offered in three regular production sizes:

  • Artaios Corona Gorda (5 5/8 x 46) — $12.50 (Box of 20, $250)
  • Artaios Robusto (5 1/4 x 50) — $13 (Box of 20, $260)
  • Artaios Toro (6 1/4 x 52) — $13.60 (Box of 20, $272)

Wildfire Cigar Co. will host a launch event for Artaios at The Vault in Meridian, Idaho. It will go on sale to retailers nationwide at the 2023 PCA Convention & Trade Show, which takes place July 8-11 in Las Vegas. Wildfire says it expects to ship the cigars in July.
