Editor’s Note: How many more days before we see a Top 25 list? It’s a serious question, albeit one said a bit begrudgingly. It never ceases to amaze me that people publish lists out in December. Now, there are some—including Cigar Aficionado—who don’t use a normal January-December calendar year for eligibility, and for that, it seems fine. But given that there are probably going to be upwards of 50 new lines launched between the last half of November and the end of the year, October seems like a bad time to declare cigar of the year for 2013. Then again, some people started in March.
