Hope everyone enjoyed their Halloween weekends. Instead of candy, I had Padrón weekend. The annual release of the Oliva Serie V Maduro hit stores this past week. The Rocky Patel Valedor which is a B&M only stick that was made for the NRA also hit stores. A special Opus X Scorpion was released at Casa Fuente this past week… The Reyes family is releasing a special box-pressed edition of their popular Cuba Aliados Miami, this will be a event exclusive. The Room 101 LTD Conjura Edition also made it to stores this past week. There’s a limited edition 601 coming out, 601 Macho – 364 boxes of ten available only at Sabor Havana (FL). Details about the La Sirena are out. Last week, I told you about the Tatuaje Barclay Rex 100th Anniversary, Brooks decided to clear up some details. I also talked about the new Litto Gomez Dominicanos. Andrew over at LFD gave me some details: fifty boxes, twelve retailers including: Jack Schwartz, Burning Leaf IL, Casa d’Monticristo IL, UpDown IL, Serious Houston, TX, ABC in KS, Twins NH, Tobacco World GA, Village Tobacco OH, Harbor FL and more.

Frank Herrera gave an update to the Manuel Garcia story. Two companies had big lounge announcements this week. Pepín opened up the first My Father Cigars lounge, in Arizona. Rocky Patel also gave details on his Burn lounge. Quality Importers, who I’d venture to guess is the largest humidor maker in the U.S., made some special humidors for Kobe Bryant’s new shoes. I’m not going to lie, I’m a bit bored with the subject, but there is still no decision on the former Thompson & Co. factory in Bartow.

Finally, David over at the Tiki Bar confirmed what a lot suspected, Jon Huber, Director of Lifestyle Marketing for CAO, will be leaving the company. In addition, it confirmed plenty of people’s guesses: CAO will be leaving Nashville, TN and operations will be mixed in with the General Cigar Co. family of brands. This of course follows the merger of the parents of both General Cigar and CAO. I wish Jon the best and imagine we’ll still be seeing him around.

P.S. I also did some trademark searches when I got bored to death… you might want to check it out, particularly if you are interested in say the Tatuaje Anarchy.

I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
