Editor’s Note: This week saw the announcement of two corporate moves in the cigar industry: one the purchasing of a company and another the closure of a company. While both were well in the works and completed before this past week, it is worth mentioning one of the lesser-talked about impacts of the threat of future legislation from the FDA, much of the investment that would be taking place in the industry has to be done cautiously. It’s a shame in a lot of ways, but a few are still taking the risks.
