Cigar shops in Weatherford, Texas got a reprieve last night. While the Weatherford City Council voted 3-2 in favor of a smoking ban, an exemption was added for cigar bars, retail tobacconists and vapor shops.

The new laws will take effect in April. It’s the most recent in a series of anti-smoking laws the Fort Worth suburb has passed recently. Last month the City Council voted 3-2 to ban smoking in businesses where food is served, while also asking the city’s Parks Departments to ban smoking in parks.

Weatherford has a population around 25,000 and is located west of Fort Worth.
