Smoking inside businesses that serve food as well as in parks in Weatherford, Texas will likely become a thing of the past. In separate moves, the City Council voted 3-2 in favor of banning the former, while the Parks Department has been instructed to change its laws to ban smoking.

According to the Weatherford Democrat, the reason for the park-related law falling under the parks department domain is so that any city official can cite violators.

It’s unclear when the new regulations will go into effect. Weatherford is a city of 25,000 located west of Fort Worth.
