Warped Cigars is bringing back Eagles Descent, a limited edition created for R. Field Wine Co. in Hawaii, for another limited release that will be available to all Warped retailers and which will be the final release for this particular vitola.

The cigar, which debuted in November 2019, returns in a 5 5/8 x 52 vitola that the company refers to as a Toro Especial. The blend remains a Nicaraguan puro and appears to maintain the same components, however, in an Instagram post, the company said that it wanted to offer a difference from the original, so the viso and seco within the blend were reworked to lean more towards the Jalapa-grown tobacco, which the company said offers undertones of more sweetness to play with the rich, dense power of the ligero from Estelí.

For this release, 1,500 boxes of 25 cigars are being produced.

Kyle Gellis has not responded to an email seeking information about the cigar’s price or shipping date, however a report by Cigar Aficionado indicates that it will cost $12 per cigar and has begun shipping. Additionally, the blend reportedly uses an corojo 99 wrapper grown in Nicaragua’s Jalapa region, a criollo 98 binder from Estelí, and a mix of criollo 98 and corojo 99 fillers from Estelí and Jalapa, and is once again made at the TABSA factory in Nicaragua.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
