Warped Cigars has a new lancero scheduled for this year’s trade show.

The company will show off Moon Garden, a 7 x 40 Nicaraguan puro that will contain medio tiempo leaf. Medio tiempo is a group of leaves found only on a fraction of tobacco plants, it grows above the ligero priming at the top of plants, making it the most powerful part of the plant.

Not all growers and companies use a medio tiempo classification, but Warped has made note of it in the past. Notably, the company’s Maestro del Tiempo line used it in the 6102R size.

Moon Garden will use a corojo 99 wrapper with corojo 99 and criollo 98 fillers as well as the medio tiempo. All the tobacco is grown by AGANORSA and the new cigar will be rolled at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA), which is also owned by AGANORSA.

Pricing has not been finalized, but production will be limited to 650 boxes of 10 cigars.

The 2018 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show begins July 14 in Las Vegas.
