Warped founder Kyle Gellis has made no secret of his love for wine, and his company’s newest release pays tribute to that.

It’s called La Hacienda ‘First Growth’, a single-size Nicaraguan puro. The company says all of the tobacco is from AGANORSA, specifically a corojo 99 wrapper, corojo 99 and criollo 98 binders and corojo 99 fillers. Warped says this release “offers more body, spice, and a unique darker sweetness” compared to the original La Hacienda which debuted in 2015.

La Hacienda ‘First Growth’ will be offered in a single 4 1/2 x 48 vitola, priced at $8.95 and sold in boxes of 25. It is being produced at Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.

The release will be differentiated from the regular La Hacienda line by using a different colorway for the main band as well as a secondary band.

First Growth refers to the Bordeaux Wine Official Classification of 1855, which categorized Bourdeaux wineries by quality. First growth vineyards were considered the top tier according to the classification.
