Viaje’s Señor Andre’s Chicharrones Returns With New Blend, Sizes

Viaje is dipping into its archives to bring back Señor Andre’s Chicharrones, a trio of cigars that was originally released in March 2015.

There will once again be three variants of the line: Original, Bold and Spicy. While all the tobacco is still coming from AGANORSA, the company is calling the three versions “remixed” in its social media posts. They’ve also gotten a bit thicker, going from a 4 1/2 x 48 in the original release to a 4 1/2 x 50 for this batch.

The cigars will continue to be presented in a 90-count box, with 30 cigars of each blend included. MSRP on the box is $676, which works out to about $7.51 per cigar. Production is still being handled by Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) in Nicaragua.

Each of the original versions used a Nicaraguan binder and filler, with the Original using a Nicaraguan corojo wrapper, the Bold having a maduro wrapper of undisclosed origin and the Spicy using a Nicaraguan criollo cover leaf. All of the tobacco for those cigars was produced by AGANORSA.

Shipping is slated to begin next week, and the cigars will head to all authorized Viaje retailers. The recently announced Viaje Juntos 2018, a collaborative cigar with E.P. Carrillo, is also scheduled to begin shipping in the coming days.
