Viaje’s First Connecticut-Wrapped Cigar Heading to Riverside Cigar Shop

Few, if any, cigar brands have released as many new cigars in the last decade as Viaje. They’ve come in all different shapes, sizes and colors, but up until now, there’s been no Viaje that has used a Connecticut shade wrapper.

That will change shortly when Riverside Cigar Shop takes delivery of its WLP Exclusive release, the WLP Match, which the store says is the first Viaje with a Connecticut shade wrapper.

It’s a 5 x 54 robusto extra that uses a Connecticut shade wrapper from a not disclosed country over Nicaraguan fillers from AGANORSA. It is being made at AGANORSA’s Tabacos Valle de Jalapa S.A. (TABSA) factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

Pricing is set at $236 per box of 25, $9.44 per cigar, and it is limited to 50 boxes of 25 cigars. Riverside says it expects to have the cigars before the weekend of July 4.

Match Cigar Bar is the name for the cigar bar that is affiliated with Riverside Cigar Shop in Jeffersonville, Ind.
