“I got fourth of July, I got St. Patty’s Day, you know we did that this year, I think I’m going to take a break on that theme stuff…” That was Andre Farkas in this Stogie Review interview with Brian Hewitt (and Jerry Cruz behind the camera) at the IPCPR trade show in Las Vegas, responding to Jerry’s suggestion of a stuffed turkey limited edition.
Word out of Viaje has been that there are only supposed to be three White Label Projects (WLPs) a year, turns out that’s not the case this year. Andre liked the Stuffed Turkey concept enough to make it his fourth WLP of 2011. There really isn’t an explanation about the blend in the video, unless he’s actually planning on having a turkey-flavored cigar, but the blend is supposed to be something unique to this cigar, meaning it’s not a tweaked current Viaje blend. The rest of the particulars go as follows:
- Name: Viaje WLP Stuffed Turkey
- Vitola: Robusto Gordo
- Size: 5 x 60
- Wrapper: Nicaragua (?)
- Binder: Nicaragua (?)
- Filler: Nicaragua (?)
- Country: Honduras
- Factory: Raíces Cubanas
- MSRP: $9.50 (Bundles of 25, $237.50)
- Number of Cigars Released: 150 Bundles of 25 (3,750 Total Cigars)
- Expected Release Date: November 2011
These will ship in a few weeks alongside the Viaje V.O.R. #5 and V.P.R. #6, which will be released in the same fashion as last year. In addition, Viaje will be shipping a host of its core line (Oro/Platino), which is routinely back-ordered due to low production.
*The bundles actually say 200, but Viaje claims that is a factory error and there was only 150 bundles.
