Viaje Teases Exclusivo Shorts, Leaded Double Edge Sword & Ghost Pepper
Yesterday, Viaje teased a trio of new releases: Exclusivo Leaded Double Edge Sword, Exclusivo Shorts and Ghost Pepper.
Leaded Double Edge Sword is a combination of two previous releases from the Exclusivo line. The Double Edge Sword is a 5 x 52 double perfecto first released in 2010 and the Leaded is a modified version of the blend using medio tiempo leaves. Medio tiempo is a type of tobacco only found on some plants that grows at the highest portion of the plant, above the ligero priming.
This will be the third Double Edge Sword release and the second time the Leaded blend has been used.
Viaje did not respond to an email seeking information about the blend, factory, pricing, production or release date. A post by the company on Instagram indicated that the Leaded Double Edge Sword will ship on March 20 to all Viaje retailers.
Exclusivo Shorts was originally released in 2011. It measured 4 1/4 x 42 and used the Exclusivo blend, a Nicaraguan puro The company has not said if all the specifics remain the same as the original, though it will once again come in boxes of 50.
The Viaje Ghost Pepper is an entirely new cigar. It’s inspired by the Viaje Jalapeño, which was released in 2015. The company said on Facebook that it will be offered to all Viaje retailer.
