Earlier today, Viaje began shipping its latest batch of cigars, which includes new vintages of the company’s Skull and Bones FOAB and MOAB releases as well as the 2014 version of Roman Candle and two new releases.
Zombie Antidote has previously been announced and shown. The 6 1/4 x 44 cigar will come in jars of 24. Antidote is the ninth release in the Zombie series and both the longest and thinnest. This is the first time the company has released a cigar under this name.
Viaje did not respond to an email seeking blend or release size details, but MSRP is set at $8.92 or $214 for jars of 24. Multiple retailers told halfwheel that they received significantly more jars of Antidote than any of the other releases in this shipment.
The company is also shipping Skull and Bones Cloudmaker a 5 x 60 parejo that will ship in bundles of 25. It is the second Zombie release to carry an Edicíon Limitada secondary band. The first was the Big Ivan, a 5 x 60 parejo released last year.
Pricing for Cloudmaker is $10 per cigar, or $250 per bundle.
In addition, Viaje is shipping new batches of FOAB (Father of All Bombs) and MOAB (Mother of All Bombs). This is the second release for FOAB, it will again be 4 1/2 x 56. Pricing of FOAB is set at $234 per box of 25, or $9.36 per cigar, roughly the same price as when the cigar was first released in March 2012.
MOAB is returning for the third time, pricing ($8.80 per cigar) and size (4 1/2 x 54) are identical to its last release in 2012.
All three cigars feature the Skull and Bones white branding. It brings the total Skull and Bones releases to 22 cigars.
Finally, the company is also shipping Roman Candle, a 9 x 50 cigar created for the 4th of July. It is the second time Roman Candle is being released, debuting in June 2012. The 15-count boxes are once again priced at $215 or $14 per cigar.
These shipments are designated for all Viaje retailers.
