Viaje Plans Zombie Collector’s Edition for 2020

Viaje is planning to release a trio of Zombie Collector’s Edition.

A post on social media showed off Viaje Zombie Collector’s Edition in the regular Zombie, Green and Red packaging.

This is the first time that any of them will receive a Collector’s Edition designation, which Viaje says means this blend and size combination will only be released once. Previously, Viaje has released a Zombie Antidote Collector’s Edition.

A spokesperson for Viaje did not return a request for more information about the cigars.

Viaje Zombie has been listed as a Nicaraguan puro. The Zombie Green was said to use a darker criollo wrapper than the regular blend, though in recent years Viaje has declined to answer questions about the blends of Zombie cigars. The Viaje Zombie Red originally was described as using a darker, maduro grade wrapper.

Zombie was originally limited to two stores per release and offered in a double-capped 4 3/4 x 52 parejo size. Since 2013, the cigars have been sold in a 5 x 52 perfecto format and Viaje has shipped Zombie releases nationwide since 2016.
