Vernon Hills, Ill. Enacts More Park Smoking Restrictions
The Village of Vernon Hills is further extending its ban on park smoking. After weighing less restrictive measures, the park district commission has announced that smoking will be prohibited 15 feet from park property.
Violators will be cited on their first offense, a second offense within a year carries a fine of $25.
Vernon Hills is a village of 25,000, located less than an hour outside of Chicago.
