Ventura Cigar Co.’s projects with Benji Menendez and Manuel “Manolo” Quesada Jr. are now shipping.

Both cigars are under the Cuban Cigar Factory name, which Ventura acquired in 2017, and both are made at the Quesada Cigar Factory.

The Benji Menendez for Cuban Cigar Factory uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over a Dominican binder and Dominican and Nicaraguan fillers. The Manolo Quesada for Cuban Cigar Factory uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over an Ecuadorian binder and Dominican fillers.

Both are offered in the same three sizes, priced the same.

  • Benji Menendez/Manolo Quesada for Cuban Cigar Factory Robusto (5 x 50) — $12.99 (Box of 20, $259.98)
  • Benji Menendez/Manolo Quesada for Cuban Cigar Factory Toro (6 x 50) — $13.99 (Box of 20, $279.98)
  • Benji Menendez/Manolo Quesada for Cuban Cigar Factory (6 1/4 x 52) — $14.49 (Box of 20, $289.80)

Benji Menendez is most famous for his role at General Cigar Co., though his cigar industry roots trace to his home in Cuba where his family ran the famous H. Upmann factory. Menendez’s career saw him work in nearly every notable cigar producing country in the world.

Manolo Quesada Jr. is the face of the Quesada brand. After centuries in the tobacco trading business, in 1974 the Quesada family started its own factory in the Dominican Republic.
