In 1998, Tabacalera S.A.—one of the precursors to Altadis—launched VegaFina. That makes 2018 an anniversary year and means there’s a cigar to celebrate.

The VegaFina Gran Reserva 20 Aniversario is a 5 3/4 x 54 parejo with a pigtail. It uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Nicaraguan binder with Dominican piloto and Nicaraguan fillers.

Production is being handled by Tabacalera de García in the Dominican Republic.

A representative for Tabacalera SLU—an Imperial Brands, plc subsidiary—says this is the most limited cigar for the brand ever with 7,000 numbered boxes of 10.

Pricing is set at €7 ($8.62) in Spain or €10.20 ($12.55) in Germany. While it will get distribution in other international markets, it is not scheduled to be released to the U.S.
