United Cigars has announced that it will be the new distributor for Jose Dominguez Signature Series Cigars, effective immediately.

The line, which has been on the market for several years, is offered in two blends, a natural and maduro. The Jose Dominguez Signature Series Natural uses an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over Dominican and Pennsylvania broadleaf tobaccos, while the maduro has a core of Nicaraguan and Dominican tobaccos, wrapped in a Mexican San Andrés leaf. Both are offered in five sizes that come in 20-count boxes, and manufactured at Magia Cubana factory in Santiago, Dominican Republic.

  • Jose Dominguez Signature Series Grande (7 1/2 x 50)
  • Jose Dominguez Signature Series Gordito (5 x 50)
  • Jose Dominguez Signature Series Gigante (6 x 60)
  • Jose Dominguez Signature Series Fino (6 x 44)
  • Jose Dominguez Signature Series Belicoso (6 1/2 x 52)

Single cigars have suggested retail pricing between $5.89 and $6.99, with boxes priced between $117.99 and $139.99.

“Jose Dominguez has been blending and producing nationally recognized brands for other people for over two decades and has crafted a cigar under his name for the U.S. market,” said Oliver Nivaud, director of sales at United Cigars, via a press release. “We are blessed to represent the cigar bearing his name.”

Dominguez is best known for his work as the owner of the Victor Sinclair brand, which produced a line of eponymously named cigars, as well as the Don Rafael and Cuban Delights lines.

United Cigars’s portfolio also includes the Atabey, Byron, and Bandolero brands, among several others.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
