Ahead of this week’s InterTabac 2024 trade fair in Dortmund, Germany, Drew Estate has announced yet another new cigar that will only be sold in stores outside of the U.S.
This time, it’s the Undercrown 10 Flying Pig. As the name implies, it’s the Undercrown 10 blend in the company’s unique short double perfecto shape. Blend-wise, it uses the standard Undercrown 10 blend: a Mexican San Andrés wrapper over a Connecticut broadleaf binder and Brazilian mata fina and Cuban-seed Nicaraguan fillers.
Like all other Flying Pig cigars, it measures 3 15/16 x 60 and has a coiled cap.
“Undercrown is the cigar born from the hands and hearts of our factory floor,” said Jonathan Drew, co-founder and president of Drew Estate, in a press release. “The Flying Pig vitola is a symbol of life’s rugged journey, and now added to our 10th year anniversary, A Decade of Dedication. If you love pizza, Mexican hot chocolate and walks in the rain, pina colada’s and such, we got you here, bruh.”
It is scheduled to begin shipping in November and will be a regular production release. Pricing has not been announced.
Drew Estate has been aggressively expanding its portfolio of international exclusives. Less than a month ago, it announced the Liga Privada Selección de Mercado Corona ¡Viva! as a new international exclusive. Yesterday, it unveiled the new Liga Privada Papas Bravas, two new international exclusives. Presumably, this week’s announcements are related to InterTabac 2024, a trade show that primarily caters to international distributors that takes place Sept. 19-21 in Dortmund.
