Two Guys Smoke Shop will be adding to its collection of Firecracker Cigars this summer, as the store has announced that the CroMagnon Firecracker will be hitting shelves in late June or early July.

The Firecrackers Cigars series was launched in 2007 with a cigar made by José “Pepin” Garcia known as The Firecracker because of its short stature and long pig tail cap that resembled a fuse. Since then, the store has added releases from Tatuaje, Iconic Leaf and La Flor Dominicana.

The 2016 installment will be a 3 1/2 x 50 version of RoMa Craft Tobac’s CroMagnon blend, which uses a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, Cameroon binder and Nicaraguan filler from Estelí, Condega and a small farm near the Honduran border. It is slated to come with an MSRP of $119.99 per box of 20 cigars, or about $6 per individual stick.

“I’m a big fan of Dave and his team; it’s a big honor to have been selected to make this year’s version of this annual release,” Skip Martin, co-founder of RoMa Craft Tobac, told halfwheel. He added that there weren’t any specific changes to the blend for this compact size, but said that it is on par with or better than the other sizes in the CroMagnon line.

Only 200 boxes are being produced by RoMa Craft Tobac’s Fabrica de Tabacos NicaSueño S.A. factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
