In March, Laudisi Enterprises purchased Caldwell Cigar Co. and Lost&Found, a Caldwell adjacent project. Tomorrow, the first new cigars from the Laudisi-owned Lost&Found will head to stores.

One of the cigars, Late to the Party, was blended by Robert Caldwell prior to acquisition. It is a 5 3/4 x 52 robusto extra that uses a habano oscuro wrapper over a Mexican San Andrés binder and fillers described as broadleaf, Condega and corojo.

It has an MSRP of $11 per cigar and limited to 180 bundles of 10 cigars.

The other two cigars were developed by Caldwell—who continues to lead both Caldwell Cigar Co. and Lost&Found—post acquisition. Don’t Sit on the Furniture is a 6 x 54 toro that uses a Mexica San Andrés wrapper over a habano aromatico binder and fillers listed as corojo, habano and Pennsylvania.

It has an MSRP of $12 per cigar and limited to 200 bundles of 10 cigars.

Out of Towners is a 5 x 50 robusto that uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper over a Sumatra binder and fillers listed as corona, Nicaragua and piloto.

It has an MSRP of $10 and is also limited to 200 bundles of 10 cigars.

All three were made at Tabacalera Mina del Rey, the Dominican factory that makes cigars for ADV & McKay Cigars Co.

Lost&Found was launched by Robert Caldwell, Tony Bellatto and Jaclyn Sears as Impromptu in 2014. Caldwell would visit factories and buy old stocks of finished cigars that were leftover for one reason or another. Sears was responsible for creating the packaging, which oftentimes relied on whimsical names like 15 Minutes of Fame, Holy Braille and Supreme Creme. Following the COVID-19 pandemic, Lost&Found has transitioned to a more traditional cigar company that commissions its own blend at factories, which are then aged for longer periods of time.
