If you have been counting down the days until the La Flor Dominicana Salomón Especial arrives in stores, you likely would have thought that there was around 45 days left; after all, that’s what La Flor Dominicana’s sales staff thought. Turns out, the clock hit zero before it hit 30. The Salomón Especial, new 1994 Tango vitola and the latest batch of Colorado Oscuros are already heading to retail.

La Flor Dominicana 1994 Tango

The new 1994 Tango (4 1/2 x 48, $6.80) wasn’t expected until late August at the earliest. It’s the sixth size for the line the company introduced last year in honor of the Gomez family’s 20th year in the cigar business.

As for Salomón Especial (7 x 64, $25.80), it wasn’t slated to arrive until mid-September. This year’s version features an Nicaraguan sun grown habano wrapper over a variety of Dominican fillers. There are also Ecuadorian Connecticut accents, particularly on the foot.

In addition, four sizes of the Colorado Oscuro are now off to retailers: No. 2 (4 1/4 x 48, $6.90), No. 3 (5 x 50, $7.30), No. 4 (5 1/4 x 54, $8) and No. 5 (5 3/4 x 60, $8.40). The cigar is released annually in limited quantities.

The three releases were part of La Flor Dominicana’s busy 2015 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show. The company still has four more new releases: La Nox, a revamped Coronado, Air Bender Maduro and an updated Litto Gomez Diez release left to ship.
