Less than a year and a half after it started to, Toraño is no longer distributing Palió and Escencia. Company officials confirmed to halfwheel that the Miami-based cigar company stopped distributing the Brother of the Leaf, LLC brands—most notably Palió cutters—last month.

The distribution agreement began last February, giving Toraño another cigar cutter line, as well as a line of popular cutters and new cigar lighters. While Toraño declined to talk specifics as to why the agreement came to an end, in March the Toraño-affiliated Leccia brand announced a line of cutters with XIKAR, a rival of Palió.

Requests for comment from Palió went unanswered.
