In 2014, Crowned Heads released the first Las Calaveras Edición Limitada blend, it went onto to finish in the Top 5 of our Top 25 list. The sophomore release landed in the Top 15 of our 2015 list. Last year’s list had the Las Calaveras 2021 at #18, and now Crowned Heads has once again gone back-to-back on our Top 25 lists.

While individual scores of the 2022 LC54 didn’t range as high as some other cigars on our list that placed lower, all four of us scored this cigar very similarly; here’s one for consistency.

I have enjoyed every Las Calaveras Edición Limitada release that I’ve smoked over the years, of which I believe I’ve smoked most but not 34 all of them, but the 2022 LC54 is well deserving of its rank on our list. The profile has a wide range of notes that pair well together, encouraging you to smoke slowly and savor each puff. It’s a shame that these are limited, as it’s a cigar I would like to be able to go buy whenever I’d like, though that is the very nature of an Edición Limitada line. These are still in stock in some stores, so if you haven’t already, there’s still time to add the Las Calaveras Edición Limitada 2022 LC54 to your humidor. And yes, there will be another release later this year. Brian Burt
