When Matt Booth exited the cigar world taking the Room101 brand with him, it was only a matter of time before he returned. Just before the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, we saw that return with two new cigars, one being a collaboration between him and Robert Caldwell of Caldwell Cigar Co. called the Hit & Run.
This year the follow-up, aptly called Hit & Run Part Deux, hits our list at number 20 with the Almost Robusto size. The 4 3/4 x 52 cigar delivers a wonderful bouquet of flavors that mesh well together and take the second release above and beyond. Room101 has shown up on our top 25 lists multiple times, and the Hit & Run Part Deux Almost Robusto shows that not all sequels are bad - so here’s to hoping for a trilogy. — Brian Burt.
