Tatuaje's Monster Series has not been a bastion of cigars I’ve liked. At their best, they’ve been good, not great. But this year is different.

The Michael is the only Monster Series I’ve found myself smoking with regularity. It’s Ecuadorian habano over a Nicaraguan binder and Nicaraguan fillers in a 6 1/2 x 52 format, not exactly something that sounds particularly exotic based on specs alone. But the cigar delivers. It’s not just good or great, it’s complex, rich and balanced, albeit with a bit of an edge. It's a cigar I've liked since the first time I smoked it and I'm not alone amongst our staff.

Monster Series releases have this ability to linger on shelves for a handful of months after the release and then disappear. It’s with that I recommend doing what we did, stocking up on a few. Here’s to number six, which is not 13. — Charlie Minato.
