In January, the Aging Room Quattro F55M Maduro soft-launched at Thompson Cigar Co., and while it would appear this cigar has made its way to other retailers, I still haven't seen it on physical shelves. And I need to change that, soon.
At the time, the plan was to release the cigars after the 2017 IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, where the cigars were present. Much changed between the time I reviewed the cigar and the mid-summer trade show, notably Aging Room's distribution had been taken over by Altadis U.S.A., the company where the brand's founder, Rafael Nodal, now works as head of product capability.
As for the cigar, the 92-point rated Churchill vitola, called Concerto, scored highly across all four reviewers. I found the profile to be linear, yet very detailed and not what I typically find out of both the Tabacalera Palma factory or Mexican San Andrés-wrapped cigars. — Charlie Minato.
