The T. Connecticut to Debut at IPCPR 2018

In addition to the recently announced Hit & Run Part Deux (Rip & Dip), Robert Caldwell and Matt Booth are bringing a line extension to The T., their project with Abdel Fernandez.

Set to debut at this week’s IPCPR Convention & Trade Show, The T. Connecticut replaces the original line’s Nicaraguan-grown wrapper with an Ecuadorian Connecticut leaf. Underneath that is a mixture of Nicaraguan fillers.

The T. Connecticut is being offered in four vitolas, each packed in 20-count boxes:

  • The T. Connecticut Corona (6 x 44) — $10.60 (Boxes of 20, $212)
  • The T. Connecticut Short Robusto (4 x 48) — $10.80 (Boxes of 20, $216)
  • The T. Connecticut Double Robusto (5 1/2 x 54) — $11.80 (Boxes of 20, $236)
  • The T. Connecticut Toro (6 x 50) — $11.40 (Boxes of 20, $228)

The cigars are being made at Tabacalera AJ Fernandez Cigars de Nicaragua S.A. in Estelí.

About the author

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for, plus I'm a voice over artist. I previously covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
