(Editor’s Note: C’mon guys, this was just a joke, a spoof on some of the video reviews out there that are overly long and monotonous (and notice I said “Some”, not “all”). We tried not to take everything so seriously, and I can assure you we were not drunk :) Just take it for what it was, a few guys sitting around bullshitting about cigars and other things…Nothing more….

As for video reviews, I can assure you that they are not going to be taking over here on the site…I am too lazy to figure out how to do them :) So, written reviews with photos as always for the future, starting with Padrón week next week. —brooks.)

Hello all!

As promised, here is the first video review in the history of SmokingStogie.com, and it just happens to be a “Blind Review” on a couple of cigars that you may recognise…We did this during a herf we had while Charlie from The Cigar Feed was in town, and decided to have some fun :)

The video runs 27 minutes, and while that is a long time, we were kinda doing it for a reason :) BTW, please don’t take the review (or anything said therein) too seriously, and take a look at today’s date on the calendar…

(and just so you know, there is some language as well, so be aware of that before you blast the speakers at Grandma’s house)…

Enjoy :) and thanks to Charlie for putting the video together…

I have been smoking cigars for over eight years. A documentary wedding photographer by trade, I spent seven years as a photojournalist for the Dallas Morning News and the Fort Worth Star Telegram. I started the cigar blog SmokingStogie in 2008 after realizing that there was a need for a cigar blog with better photographs and more in-depth information about each release. SmokingStogie quickly became one of the more influential cigar blogs on the internet, known for reviewing preproduction, prerelease, rare, extremely hard-to-find and expensive cigars. I am a co-founder of halfwheel and now serve as an editor for halfwheel.
