It’s not the massive 9 x 52 Special S Diadema, but it’s still part of Oliva’s least known line. The Special S was introduced in 2006, before the introduction of Serie V, and was billed as Oliva’s top shelf cigar, and it was priced that way as well. A combination of things, including the Serie V, brought the Special S to a pretty quick end and Oliva’s most expensive line is now almost exclusively sold on the secondary market.

I am an editor and co-founder of halfwheel.com/Rueda Media, LLC. I previously co-founded and published TheCigarFeed, one of the two predecessors of halfwheel. I have written about the cigar industry for more than a decade, covering everything from product launches to regulation to M&A. In addition, I handle a lot of the behind-the-scenes stuff here at halfwheel. I enjoy playing tennis, watching boxing, falling asleep to the Le Mans 24, wearing sweatshirts year-round and eating gyros. echte liebe.
