By September, all tobacco products sold in Thailand will be sold in plain packaging.

Thailand will be the first Asian country to adopt plain packaging. In addition, the country will require 85 percent of the packaging to be covered by a warning label.

It would appear 2019 will be the busiest year for plain packaging to date. Turkey and Saudi Arabia have already announced their plans to implement plain packaging as well.
