While Ted’s might get the most attention for its collaborations with Maker’s Mark and Samuel Adams, or its celebrity cigars made for Dale Earnhardt Jr. and Duck Dynasty, the company also makes cigars under its own name without any flavoring. Known as Ted’s Made By Hand, the Dominican-made cigar has been offered solely with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper, until now.

Ted s Made By Hand Maduro

Later this month, the Kentucky-based company will add the Ted’s Made By Hand Maduro with a Mexican San Andrés wrapper, Dominican binder and fillers from Brazil, the Dominican Republic and Nicaragua—the same as the original.

Three sizes will be made—5 x 50 ($7), 6 x 50 ($7.30), and 5 1/2 x 56 ($7.50)—all sold in 20-count boxes. In addition to the obvious wrapper differences, the lines are separated by differing bands, red for the Made By Hand Connecticut, and black for the Maduro. Ted’s is produced at Victor Sinclair in the Dominican Republic.
