The two new vitolas that Tatuaje debuted for its Cabaiguan line at the 2022 PCA Convention & Trade Show have begun shipping to retailers, albeit in limited quantities.
The first size, the Cabaiguan Britanicas Extra, is a 5 3/8 x 48 figurado that is priced at $11 per cigar and $264 for a box of 24 cigars. The size has been used by Tatuaje several times recently, including in releases for the Tatuaje Black Label, L’Atelier Racine and Surrogates lines.
It is a limited production release, with just 1,000 boxes being produced. Pete Johnson told halfwheel that about half of the production was received, with the rest expected some time before the end of the year.
The other size, the Cabaiguan No.752, is a 7 x 52 double robusto. It is priced at $12 per cigar and $288 per box of 24 cigars. Unlike the Britanicas Extra, it is a regular production cigar, though the initial quantity the company received was limited.
Both sizes use the same blend, with an Ecuadorian Connecticut wrapper over dual Nicaraguan binders and a Nicaraguan filler. The line is produced by My Father Cigars S.A. in Estelí, Nicaragua.
