The second of the five planned Tatuaje single store release will land in San Antonio this week.

Pete Johnson of Tatuaje confirmed to halfwheel that the Tatuaje The Rumbo, a 7 5/8 x 49 double corona, will arrive at Club Humidor later this week. It’s a blend of Nicaraguan binder and fillers over an Ecuadorian habano wrapper that is the same as what is used on the Tatuaje Cojonu, a higher priming than the wrapper used on the typical Tatuaje Brown Label releases.

The Rumbo will feature a covered foot and Johnson described it as being “full” in flavor.

Its name is inspired by Keith Rumbo, who along with his wife Tiffany, owns the chain of stores in San Antonio.

Production is limited to 500 boxes of 15. Pricing is not yet known, but a sales representative at the store indicated it was expected to be finalized by Thursday.

The Rumbo is part of the Tatuaje Exclusive Series, the name given to Tatuaje’s single store exclusives. Johnson has previously stated that he has five planned releases for the year, the first of which—the Tatuaje Drinking Age—was released last month.
