Pete Johnson has made it clear that his future plans for Tatuaje involved making cigars in Miami.
Now some of those plans are starting to emerge. Last year, Johnson announced his plans for the Escasos Collection, a series of cigars made in Miami using Havana-seed wrappers. As part of those plans, Johnson indicated that two previously-announced cigars would be included, albeit in much different forms than originally planned.
The Tatuaje Petite Église and Clos L’Église were originally announced as Nicaraguan-made European exclusives, though neither ever made it to Europe. Now they are being included as part of Escasos. This week, Johnson has shared pictures of Clos L’Église, packaged in coffins within a 10-count box.
In a previous post, he indicated that Petite Église would be a 5 x 50 with a claro wrapper, while Clos L’Église is 5 x 52 with a closed foot and an oscuro wrapper.
Johnson declined to provide further details.
