The Tatuaje TAA 2020 will use a Sumatra wrapper.
Pete Johnson of Tatuaje showed off a picture of the TAA 2020, which he indicated would be a 5 5/8 x 54 box-pressed robusto extra, the same size as the first Tatuaje TAA, the 2011. The post also indicated that it would use a Sumatra wrapper.
This will mark just the third time that the Tatuaje TAA has not used a Connecticut broadleaf wrapper.
The TAA is a fairly small group of some of the country’s top tobacconists, about 80 retailers as well as 40 or so manufacturers. The association gathers annually to discuss issues facing the industry as a whole as well as those more specific to retailers, as well as to have its annual trade show, a unique event that works on a group buying format in order to secure exclusive deals for these generally high-volume merchants.
The 2020 TAA Convention & Meeting will take place March 22-26 at the Sheraton Los Cabos in Mexico.
