Los Caidos, a relatively new cigar brand from New Jersey, will now be distributed by Sutliff Tobacco Co.

The brand started in 2018, though the roots of the company go back to 2012 when Steve Zengel opened up a retail cigar store in Seaside Heights, N.J. After a series of events, Los Caidos was launched with a mission to give $1 per cigar sold to charities that benefit the families of fallen firefighters and police officers.

“I’m so thankful for the opportunity to work with Jeremy and the rest of the cigar team at Sutliff Tobacco,” said Zengel in a press release. “It’s by far one of the biggest moves for the company since its inception. Partnering with Jeremy and Sutliff enables me to spend time with those brick-and-mortar retailers who served as the foundation on which the growth of the company was built while also allowing me to build new relationships with other retailers”

Sutliff is a pipe tobacco company that was spun off from Altadis U.S.A. and sold to Mac Baren Tobacco Company A/S in 2013. Mac Baren is a nearly 200-year-old pipe tobacco company based in Denmark that also doesn’t have any cigar brands though it does distribute Platinum Nova.
