While Sosa originally planned to focus its IPCPR convention and trade show efforts around the company’s anniversary cigar, the Sosa 50th Anniversary Pirámdies is already sold out. As such, the company had time to focus on other releases and went a completely different direction—an economical, regularly available cigar.

The Sosa Trays are made at the El Galan factory in Nicaragua and offered in a single box-pressed 6 x 52 with three different wrappers: Brazilian araparica maduro, Ecuadorian habano and a barber pole with the habano and Connecticut wrappers. Underneath is a mix of Nicaraguan fillers.

Pricing is set at $4 per cigar and all come in trays of 90. Sosa expects to ship the cigars immediately following the IPCPR convention and trade show which begins July 19 in Las Vegas, Nev. The company has indicated it is exploring creating the 50th Anniversary in another limited vitola to be released later this year.
