Cigar brands Arandoza, Headlines and Doña Nieves along with The Cigar Cork line of accessories will now distributed alongside the Sosa brand. Antillian Cigar Corporation, the parent company of Sosa, announced that the company has signed agreements with each company that gives Antillian distribution in the U.S.
“We are excited to bring these boutique brands under the umbrella of the Sosa family,” said Arby Sosa, creative director and sales manager for Antillian Cigar Corp, in a press release. “With this being the year of our 50th Anniversary, the Sosa family looked at the cigar landscape and realized that ‘strength in numbers’ is the future. Why did I choose these brands to distribute? If you know me, you know I’m a simple guy. Each product had something different and interesting to offer, and I believe this collaboration with innovative concepts will allow all of us to remain competitive in this business.”
Arandoza is responsible for three lines—Blue, White and Red. It is owned by Robert Arango and made at the La Zona Factory in Estelí, Nicaragua.
El Galan Cigar, Inc. owns and produces the the Doña Nieves line, which comes in three sizes. The three-size line was released this year. Headlines is another new line, with a six-size line coming out of Tabacalera Real Tamboril later this year.
The Cigar Cork is produced by Maine Lobster Steamer, LLC. The device allows for individual humidification and seasoning of cigars by placing a cigar as long as seven inches, as large as 60 ring gauge in a glass tube with a corked end. It was shown off at this year’s IPCPR convention and trade show.
