A new Smoke Inn Microblend release is in the works, according to a picture posted to the Florida retailer’s Facebook page on Friday afternoon.

While the bulk of the information is blurred out, what is known is that the project is being made at MATASA in the Dominican Republic, the factory owned and operated by the Quesada family. The factory is home to several notable projects including the Quesada Jalapa and the Quesada Selección España Lancero.

The only other discernible bit of information is that the cigars seem to have been made on January 17, 2013.

Smoke Inn’s Microblend Series was launched in December 2010 with the Tatuaje Anarchy and has since been joined by the Padrón SI-15 in Natural and Maduro, the Arturo Fuente Solaris, the El Hijo from My Father Cigars, and the Tatuaje Anarchy Apocalypse, released in December 2012.

In early December 2012, it was announced that Smoke Inn would be teaming up with Room101’s Matt Booth on a new cigar called “Big Delicious” that will debut during the store’s Great Smoke VIP Dinner on February 15 before being officially released on April 26. That cigar is currently slated to be the next release in Smoke Inn’s Microblend Series.

Abe Dababneh, proprietor of Smoke Inn was not available for comment regarding the project. Terence Reilly of SAG Imports confirmed the project but declined to give any specifics.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for Major League Baseball, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
