Next Friday, South Florida-based Smoke Inn will host a special event celebrating José Orlando Padrón’s 90th birthday. As with most special events, there is a special cigar.

Padrón 90th Birthday Smoke Inn

The cigar is a 6 x 46 round cigar, a shake-up from Padrón’s typically box-pressed cigars. In addition, it features a numbered band underneath a special black version of Padrón’s basic band found on the company’s Thousand Series releases. Another change from how Padrón typically does special releases, which are usually through the company’s 1926 or 1964 lines.

Smoke Inn has not described the blend, but it will e offered in both Maduro and Natural versions with 200 boxes of 10 cigars made between the two lines. Suggested pricing is $16.50 per cigar or $165 per box.

The cigars will go on sale at Smoke Inn’s Boynton Beach, Fla. headquarters when the even begins at 7 p.m.
