The newest installment of Sinistro Cigars’ limited edition NV line is on its way to retailers today, and significantly more retailers will get it than the debut release.
The cigar uses the same blend as last year’s, highlighted by a Dominican corojo maduro wrapper that has been aged for 10 years. The binder is an Indonesian Sumatra leaf and the filler is made up of Dominican piloto cubano ligero, Nicaraguan ligero, Pennsylvania ligero and Dominican olor. The blend was created by James Agopian, co-owner of Sinistro Cigars.
It returns in the same two sizes at the 2021 release, a 5 x 52 robusto named Remus that is priced at $20, and a 6 x 54 toro named Romulus that is priced at $25. Both vitolas come in 20-count boxes, with production limited to 190 boxes of the robusto and 180 boxes of the toro. Each of the 30 retailers that will carry the line is receiving five boxes of each size.
“We wanted NV to be available to more retailers and consumers by adding 20 stores to the list. Due to the scarcity of the wrapper we use, we had to limit each retailer to 10 total boxes,” the company wrote in a press release.
Both sizes are produced at the El Artista factory in the Dominican Republic.
Coleman Fine, co-owner of Sinistro Cigars, told halfwheel that the company isn’t sure it will add more sizes to the line in the future.
