Scrim by HutcH Studios has released three new color options in its Kirinite cutter collection: Copper Ice, Purple Crush and True Blood.

Kirinite is a high end acrylic material that was developed by Eagle Gun Grips, and is known as much for its durability as well as visual appeal, which is made with thin strands of poly paper swirled in during the production process. The addition of the three new colors brings the total number of options offered by Scrim by HutcH to 19 for its Kirinite series.

As with the rest of the Kirinite collection, these three new color ways use a XIKAR Xi3 body, a double guillotine design that uses 440C stainless steel blades with a Rockwell HRC 57 rating. The cutter can cut the cap of a cigar up to 60 ring gauge, and cut up to a 54 ring gauge cigar in half.

All the cutters come with a black leather hand sewn pouch for protection while not in use, and have an MSRP of $250. They are all ongoing production offerings that are available either directly from Scrim by HutcH Studios or via authorized retailers.

I strive to capture the essence of a cigar and the people behind them in my work – every cigar you light up is the culmination of the work of countless people and often represents generations of struggle and stories. For me, it’s about so much more than the cigar – it’s about the story behind it, the experience of enjoying the work of artisans and the way that a good cigar can bring people together. In addition to my work with halfwheel, I’m the public address announcer for the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks during spring training, as well as for the Salt River Rafters of the Arizona Fall League, the WNBA's Phoenix Mercury and previously the Arizona Rattlers of the Indoor Football League. I also work in a number of roles for MLB.com, plus I'm a voice over artist. Prior to joining halfwheel, I covered the Phoenix and national cigar scene for Examiner.com, and was an editor for Cigar Snob magazine.
