Sandusky, Ohio has banned the use of all tobacco products in the city’s parks, piers, marinas, bike paths and golf courses.

The measure was approved Monday night by a vote of 5-2. It will go into effect on May 23 and those found in violation will be subject to a misdemeanor charge.

Sandusky is located just over 60 miles west of Cleveland and is home to approximately 25,000 residents.
