For the first time in over a decade, there’s a new Edición Regional wearing a band that reads Medio Oriente.

Phoenicia T.A.A. Cyprus Ltd., the Cuban cigar distributor for the Middle East, has launched the Saint Luis Rey Herfing, 5 1/2 (140mm) x 54 robusto extra that is technically part of the 2017 class of Edición Regionals, even though it was released in early 2019.

The cigar was launched at an event at the Columbia Steak House in Cyprus.

While there have been a variety of Edición Regionals for various countries represented by Phoenicia, this is only the second time that an Edición Regional has carried the Medio Oriente band, the other being the Bolívar Double Coronas in 2007.

An earlier version of this article indicated that the cigar was released in late 2019; it has been corrected and we regret the error.
