Room101 Announces Farce

Null

There’s a new Room101 cigar heading to stores next month and it’s a farce, literally.

The new brand—Room101 Farce—is the first non-collaboration cigar for Room101 since it left Davidoff in 2017. It’s a five-size line that uses an Ecuadorian wrapper, an Indonesian binder and fillers from the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Pennsylvania.

Five sizes are offered: Lonsdale (6 1/2 x 42), Robusto (5 x 52), Toro (6 x 54), Gordo (6 1/2 x 60) and Papi Chulo (4 x 42), the latter of which is an event-only release. Pricing is set at $10.75-14.75 per cigar and it will come in boxes of 20.

“We will be celebrating this evolution in our cigar business this coming week with good friends in Arizona featuring an extremely small batch of pre-release product,” said Matt Booth, Room101 founder, in a press release. “My hope is that everyone enjoys this product as much as I enjoyed creating it. This is the first of more to come for Room101 cigars. This is the beginning of the next chapter of our brand’s life within premium tobacco.”

Those events in Arizona will precede the national launch of the brand, which will take place in late March or early April.

Farce is being produced at Tabacalera William Ventura and will be distributed by Down and Back, LLC, which was founded by Robert Caldwell of Caldwell Cigar Co. Room101 and Caldwell collaborated on two releases last year.
